Reading this from Berlin but thinking of those same summer clusters you describe in Paris. I often watch teenagers rehearsing in squares here, same ritual. Your note on Renoir's Dance at Bougival - that slight intoxication, the ungloved hand - made me feel I had stepped into the turn as well.
